Unlike other North American Cities, Montréal’s downtown is unique because it actually encompasses several different neighbourhoods where Montrealers live and work. The tour will literally take you inside out and you will discover the famous weatherproof city (Underground City – RÉSO), the 21 city blocks dedicated to arts and entertainment (Quartier des spectacles) and old Montréal. We will walk, stop, sit and explore.

2) Golden Square Mile Tour
For 100 years Canada’s wealth was found in this neighbourhood affectionally nick named the Golden Square Mile. Encompassing some of the beautiful former homes of wealthy Montrealers responsible for not only Canada’s wealth but for the Montrealers wealth in art, education and architecture.
Visit the downtown campus of McGill University that is in the middle of the Golden Square Mile, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, the McCord Museum, the first Ritz-Carlton in the world. Montréal’s Harrods: La Maison Oglivy. Some of Montreal’s well known designers, and institution are found in the area.
During your walking tour, you will hear anecdotes, stories, learn about the history, architecture and personalities that built the neighbourhood and those who continue to make it move. 3) Old Montréal Tour
This walking tour is for guests who enjoy history, historical architecture while leisurely soaking in Montréal’s vibe and essences. Old Montréal was declared a historical protected neighbourhood in 1965. Over 5,000 residents live in the historical neighbourhood with original buildings dating back from the 1600, 1700, 1800 and 1900’s.
We will also go inside hidden treasures that include banks, gardens, homes, chapels, squares, court yards and much more. Montréal is the most European flavoured city in North America, nowhere is that more true then in Old Montréal. Ruby will tell you wonderful stories, anecdotes, legends, characters that shape this area while you learn about the various archeological sites, historical structures. Ruby has a unique way of presenting this historical neighbourhood that will leave your enchanted. Stops will be made for guests to rest. Tour is done rain, snow, cold or shine. Ruby will adjust stops according to weather.

4) Old Montréal Evening Tour
A great after or pre-dinner activity in the evening when historical buildings are light up. Having a business meeting and want to add something special to the evening events? Great tour if you are arriving into Montréal late in the afternoon or early evening.
Ruby will include an introduction into Montréal, with suggestions on what to do for your stay. You can then chat about this over drinks and dinner and decide what you will do while in Montréal. Old Montréal is the perfect place to have drinks or dinner with an abundance of choices. Entertaining, light with lots of humour and anecdotes, Ruby will adapt the visit to your needs.

5) Full Day Montréal Neighbourhood Discovery Tour
This full day tour will take guests to the places they would not visit on their own including locations off the beaten track. Having your private personal guide and Montréal expert, you will save gust time and will get to explore and enjoy far more then on your own.
Using the BMW (bus, métro and walking), we will begin with a ride up to one of the look outs on Mount Royal. From there we can walk down or take the bus. We will then make take a stroll through the Plateau Mont-Royal, including Mile End neighbourhood, to taste, visit and explore life in Montréal. A coffee stop or ice cream stop perhaps? We can stop for lunch, pick up a picnic or taste our way through our tour.
During the tour Ruby will help you with suggestions on what to see or do during your stay in Montréal. We could finish the tour at your hotel or anywhere you would like to stop for drinks, tea or relax in parks to listen to music. The tour will be customised according to your interests and the time you have available.
